I appreciate the well written articles about these talented actors, however the word midget is used entirely too much in the piece. Just like the term negro, it is out-dated and rather derogatory for people of short stature.

Excellent piece. This movie meant so much to me as a young kid and I'm so glad I found this article. I've always wondered about the cast members of Billy Jack. What a great read!

Curley was the making of the group; Shemp was just as good although he had a totally different style. I like it that he tries not to follow in Curley's shadow. Cuckoo on a Choo Choo was one of my favorite episodes starring Shemp along with The Ghost Talks. All those who played the Three Stooges are in Heaven smiling down on us.

Aron was always doing things for my mother (Sally Blane) and never asking anything in return.
You knew his introductions to Mystery, but he would recite every line from the most obscure sword and sandal picture, the entire movie with all the insane dialogue. A very funny man with tremendous depth.
Here's to you, Aron. Now you know how many people loved you.

Thank you so much for the kind words about the volunteer team! We definitely worked hard, but didn't forget to have fun while we were at it. I was one of the two girls responsible for handling the Sean Maher panel, not the one with the pink hair though! You were amazing to work with and such an awesome moderator. You definitely were a great asset in making one of the best Cons in history. =)

I was at the Sean panel and you did an awesome job moderating it. I was the girl that asked about the Playboy Club. I was so gutted it got canceled. I am glad that you had a great con. I did too. I always love coming to Wizard World. It is one of the best cons I ever attend.

Hey PCA,
I was at the Con and completely agree with the picture you've so adeptly painted of the weekend. This was my first con ever so my hangover is worse than yours, but I was so glad for my first experience with this type of event to be in such a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. As you said, the celebrities, artists, and vendors were relaxed and friendly, and the other fans were talkative and more than willing to help this noobie navigate her first con. The volunteers went out of their way to help me find rooms and decipher appropriate con etiquette.

I was also surprised how the contagious family atmosphere on Sunday was entirely different than Saturday, and gives me hope for the continuation of the "fandom" (as you called it) in future generations. Furthermore, being a girl in an often male-dominated subculture has often been difficult and alienating. But this weekend rekindled my belief that comics, superheroes and are things everyone can embrace and celebrate; something that can connect us and make us feel like we belong to something bigger than ourselves.

Finally, you did a fantastic job moderating Sean Maher's Q & A to balance between Firefly discussions, and Sean's other personal and acting experiences. Thanks for being a part of what made this weekend unforgettable for me!
