For the Love of Yoko: A Reexamination of Yoko Ono
She’s the woman that you love to hate. She is one of the most unpopular characters ever to walk upon the pop culture journey. However, what do most of us really know about bohemian artist Yoko Ono? In my look at the life, the art and the philosophy of Yoko Ono, I explore her origins and her unique vision, and put forth the idea that while John Lennon was the voice and words behind the message of peace that the pair promoted in the early 1970′s, it was in fact Yoko Ono who was both the brains and the spirit behind that message. Yoko Ono didn’t break up the Beatles. She’s just the most misunderstood and vilified woman in pop culture history who really needs to get a break. Just don’t let her sing. You might be surprised that there is far more to this amazing woman then you’d ever give her credit for. Finally get to understand Yoko Ono and see what John Lennon saw in her.
